English Paper Pieces!

As you may know…i LOVE English Paper piecing (and bacon) but that is an entirely different post!  I have done a Grandmother’s Flower Garden… (1 inch hexies) below…using a hard-to-find civil war green for the path.  (yes…this was hand pieced, hand quilted, the binding was machine stitched down, and hand tacked to the back.)

Vintage flower garden blocks in blues (my favorite color).  there are 30 blocks total…i started piecing them together over the weekend…debating on what to put in between the flowers, maybe a solid Dresden Blue–what do you think?

i even finished up this little Sweet Confection, Rosettes, a week or so ago.

i’m also going to be putting together one of these…pictures are from Hilda over at http://everystitchblog.blogspot.com/ isn’t it just so pretty!  I love how they are fussy cut!  this quilt is Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses.

i placed an order for 1 inch hexies, mini apple core, mini double wedding ring, and mini tumblers (all these minis will be for the Sweet Confections that i am whipping up), along with 1 inch honeycomb and 1 inch squares for the Lucy Boston.  i’ll be ordering the Lucy Boston book in the next week or so!  can’t wait to get started!

hope all is well!  x0–april&mickey  {sweetwater}
