since this is a holiday week…I have opted to forgo Lucy Tuesday and Farmer’s Wife Friday. with so much going on…we could all use a week to play catch-up, sit back, relax, run ourselves a cup of coffee, and snuggle up with a good book.
we’ve gotten in a some new titles that we are adding to our personal quilty bookshelf.

We love the simplicity of the Utility-Style book…simple blocks are striking too and this book has a bunch of them. Perfect for beginners to advanced this book will help you achieve a look that is both modern and classic.
If you prefer to use up some of your layer cakes…then either the Cake Mix Quilt Book or the Easy Layer Cakes book would help you do that. Both books help you gobble up those layer cakes. Promise!
Do you want to whip up a quilt from start to finish? The Quilt-As-You-Go Made Vintage will help you achieve that goal. This book features 51 blocks and multiple joining methods to take you from start to finish.
Lastly…if you are looking for a good reference guide then Patchwork & Quilting a visual guide to all things quilty is perfect for you! This book is packed full of quilty info…from deciding on color and fabrics to piecing, quilting, and binding. This book covers the basics and then some…delving into English Paper Piecing, Appliqué, Crazy Quilting and even pincushions and pillow shams. This book truly is a one-stop-quilt-know-it all!
