I’m sure everyone is impatiently waiting for the ice to melt off the lake, the birds to start chirping, and the trees to start budding.
I realize that it is still a long ways off…I mean it is barely February…we still have a couple months to go…unfortunately. We do have a few things going on between now and then though…
we’ll be at the St. Cloud Heritage Quilters meeting this Thursday presenting a trunk show of our projects. I do not like public speaking…I get really, really nervous and have a mini freak out, but it takes my mind off my surgery consultation on Monday…so that helps…for a few days.
Then later in the month we’ll be up at the Creative Arts Fiber Festival…hosted by Watermark and Willow Wood Market. This Festival features all sorts of fiber and crafty goodness to go along with it…wool, quilting, weaving, beading, knitting, spinning…lots of fabric, wool, yard, and other goodies. I will be teaching at least 1 class on English Paper Piecing with booth demos on Brazilian Embroidery. The last 2 years we’ve done classes on Brazilian Embroidery, so we thought we’d change it up a little. If you would like a refresher or to get started, be sure to stop on by our booth. Mom, Tina, and I will be attending so there will always be someone around to help you out.
Then we’ll be in Forest Lake in April…then it will nearly be summertime!!!
So to keep you tied over until then…our precuts of Summer on the Pond have arrived! We tend to bypass Holly Taylor since she usually does a lot of tan, gold, red, and orange…so this line was an absolute treat! Gorgeous violet, chocolate, both light and dark green, and light and dark blue, and that vanilla! can I just say– O. MY.
