a little info…
Lucy Boston stitched the lovely Patchwork of the Crosses in the late 1950’s. She used lovely prints and did the most amazing fussy cutting to create her breathtaking blocks.
She used 2 different shapes…honeycomb and square.

I pieced a Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses a couple years ago though my original was made of Civil War fabrics…I fell for the POTC made from florals. (for the blog post featuring my Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses…Jane and Lucy)
so I decided to do another round of the Lucy potc blocks, but this time I would offer kits for the blocks.
Since each block can have between 1 and 4 different fabrics (depending upon fussy cutting) I thought it would be fun to see the various layouts…it’s amazing how different it looks when you move around colors.
The civil war Lucy block…
this features just one print…but the fussy cutting changes the entire look!
