Lucy Tuesdays week 51

we hope you’ve been following along…if you are just popping in…this is week 51 of Lucy Tuesdays…

a little info…

Lucy Boston stitched the lovely Patchwork of the Crosses in the late 1950’s.  She used lovely prints and did the most amazing fussy cutting to create her breathtaking blocks.

She used 2 different shapes…honeycomb and square.

I pieced a Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses a couple years ago though my original was made of Civil War fabrics…I fell for the POTC made from florals.  (for the blog post featuring my Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses…Jane and Lucy)

so I decided to do another round of the Lucy potc blocks, but this time I would offer kits for the blocks.

Since each block can have between 1 and 4 different fabrics (depending upon fussy cutting) I thought it would be fun to see the various layouts…it’s amazing how different it looks when you move around colors.

The civil war Lucy block…

I know it is just a little after midnight, but technically the blocks were done before Tuesday was over, I spent the rest of Tuesday waiting on the computer to talk to my phone and for the internet to work.  Just 5 weeks left!  the end is near!  keep an eye out for finishing paper piece packs and some finishing kits for the summer cottage version and the background for the civil war version.  we are getting in new EPP projects all the time and i’m adding them to my list just as quick!

now i’d better get back to week 52’s block…yes…i’m working ahead…hopefully I can get a couple of these blocks done over the next 2 days…which I have off…yes…you read that right…2 days off…in a row…treats excited!

happy epping!
