we hope you’ve been following along…if you are just popping in…this is the final week of Lucy Tuesdays (that will have new blocks). I’m going to continue popping in with progress pics and other fun things like perfect-for-fussy-cutting stripes, finishing kits, border paper packs, and other fun things…
I’ve found some grey from my original Lucy…and will be checking it out to see if there is enough to whip up 1 more grey/primitive muslin finishing kit.

a little info…
Lucy Boston stitched the lovely Patchwork of the Crosses in the late 1950’s. She used lovely prints and did the most amazing fussy cutting to create her breathtaking blocks.
She used 2 different shapes…honeycomb and square.

I pieced a Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses a couple years ago though my original was made of Civil War fabrics…I fell for the POTC made from florals. (for the blog post featuring my Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses…Jane and Lucy)
so I decided to do another round of the Lucy potc blocks, but this time I would offer kits for the blocks.
Since each block can have between 1 and 4 different fabrics (depending upon fussy cutting) I thought it would be fun to see the various layouts…it’s amazing how different it looks when you move around colors.
This week there is only 1 block kit which can be used in either the civil war or summer cottage version.
It features a stripe from the Antebellum collection which was inspired by fabrics found prior to the civil war, so i thought this fabric would be the perfect way to finish out the 56–block collection.

Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses block 56

24–1 inch honeycomb papers
4–1 inch square papers (or multiples of 4 depending upon how many 4-patches are fussy cut from the fabrics
pattern card with color layout and cutting instructions
Kits will be $8.
