well, our plans this week have been upended!
Mom and i came to work monday…it was a long weekend and mom is still feeling a bit under the weather so we did some planning, she did some sewing, and i did some online work.
well, yesterday early morning i came down with a stomach bug…which kept me in bed all day long. what a waste of a day! mom and dad came down with the same thing. tina, luckily enough, had the day off and felt great, so she brought gabby to the shop yesterday.
we are all on the mend. i’m back to work, dad is back on the computer as his arm heals, and mom is trying to take it easy so she can get over the combination flu and stomach bug.

needless to say…the window is still semi-valentine’s day. not quite changed over to easter. we did start a new project using Brenda Riddle’s Bramble Cottage collection. remember Bliss? basic strips and piping…it is one of our favorites. we are so excited to see it made up again!
i’ve finished piecing my Pastel Primrose Garden…it is so sweet and pretty. just have to get to work on the quilting part after i get the backing pieced.
i’m currently working the pattern and will be putting together paper packs and kits of both the pastel and civil war color ways.

a few things are simmering but i can’t get started until i have all the pieces…so frustrating! i either don’t have the fabric, or the right paper pieces, or have to do a ton of math to make sure i have enough fabric…goodness…maybe i’ll just walk around the shop and plan the window display. that doesn’t really require any math.
