good afternoon! i don’t think i am the only one that is looking forward to some autumn! We’ve had some storms coming through here the last few days which has definitely brought the temperature down so its a little more manageable. i know after this ridiculously hot and dry summer i am VERY ready for some cozy weather…Chili, cozy sweaters, fluffy socks, with a hot coffee, a cool breeze, and some stitching…(more on the stitching i’m going to try and tackle later once i’ve actually tried to accomplish something).
with the arrival of the brisker season…i thought it was time to pull out the autumn stuff…we’ve done a rearrange this week (the hop ended Saturday so it has timed out perfectly) and i’ve come across a couple autumn hued bundles that never found their way online…along with some brand new precuts that arrived earlier this week.
so…first up is Cozy Up…Corey Yoder’s newest collection featuring all the cozy feels of a soft and cozy autumn. whether you lean more towards the pastel autumn that is starting to creep into mainstream or the classic…this collection has all the right colors…rich yellows, oranges, greens, grays, and teal. The prints are delightful and include a lovely buffalo check, acorns, Corey’s classic flowers with a few autumn blossoms mixed in, tree names show up in the font style print, and the sweetest micro dots (8 different color combos!) The full collection is set to arrive in mid-September. we do have the precuts in stock and ready to go if you just cannot wait for the yardage to come…or have the most wonderful idea for it…mom has drawn out a spool quilt and will be getting to that right quick! you can grab Cozy Up precuts here.
when we were rearranging the civil war area…pulling out backroads and dropping in some autumn bundles…we came across a couple that just never made it online…well i rectified that this morning. these collections are not brand new, but they sure would make up the coziest little throw from the autumn days ahead. Or simply mix in with your civil war stash…which mine is always short on the orange-y reads and golden yellows…check out all the jo morton bundles here.
aren’t those bundles just the *perfect* colors for autumn?
we’ve changed out the music to my favorite…Forest Cello…and are changing over the shop to autumn…be sure to pop in if you are in our neck of the woods.
once all the pumpkins have been arranged and the shop put back in order after the hop (a few spots are still sort of disaster-y) i’ll take some pictures.
