good afternoon! we are still waiting for the weather to realize that it is september…i am looking forward to cozy sweaters, warm socks, apple cider, and the changing leaves.

i thought i would pop in and give you a looky at a quilt that has been around for awhile, but hasn’t made it online yet.

Jane’s Modified Coverlet.

mom and i have a growing list of projects to do. The Jane Austen Coverlet was one that we were bound and determined to do. We love the diamonds, the lovely navy dot, the accompanying florals…the correspondence….the whole thing…lovely. However, we were not looking forward to cutting up the diamond panel. Therefore, it kept getting bumped for other more pressing projects.

So…instead we decided to keep the Diamond panel as is and just add borders of the dot and one of our favorite florals…Georgiana. Thus Jane’s Modified Coverlet was born.

I love this quilt. Not too big, not too small…measuring 67 x 75 inches….it is perfect! We didn’t worry about the diamonds in the corner…which made it a cinch to stitch up.

I love that peachy rose…fingers crossed that is in a future collection…speaking of future collections…Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility collection is on order and should be arriving sometime this fall/october-ish.

Meanwhile…you still have time to whip up our Modified Coverlet…we have kits available here.

we will be pulling out the pumpkins any day now…possibly today…and bringing in some autumn.

happy stitching!
