happy monday! we’ve spent the last 5ish days doing a big shop rearrange…we added some shelving to the Tilda section along with a couch…it is looking mighty cozy and there is a little more room to move around. The 30’s Reproduction section was moved give it a little upgrade and to make room for Bee Vintage…Lori Holt’s newest collection that should be arriving within the next week. We’ve combined Camille’s Dwell and Country Rose by Lella Boutique which has made a very pretty mixture…we are thinking we need a quilt made from a custom combination of the 2…they compliment each other SO well! Halloween has been moved to made room for the 2 collections we’ve ordered this year…Spooky Schoolhouse (which is just the cutest!) and Owl-0-Ween by Urban Chiks. Both have a bit of purple that is sure to mix with the bits of Kitty Corn and Web of Roses. i have plans for a Halloween English Paper Piecing project…still percolating…
anyways…Dandelion Grove. This project is a remake of our Rockets’ Red Glare project from several years ago. We changed the palette and made it more scrappy and the settings, column sashing, and border is the same Bella solid muslin that is our go to for anything civil war. we used the creamy prints from Garden Gatherings Shirtings and the end result is soft and neutral and simply stunning. the creaminess is so calming and has such a vintage feel to it.
