autumn porch pillow

happy sunday! i thought i would pop in for a few and introduce our newest project before we open today (we are only open 3 sundays a year and they are the 3 sundays of the Quilt Minnesota shop hop…otherwise we are NOT open on sundays.)

I showcased Front Porch a few days ago…if you missed it…here the picture again…mom and i both fell in love with the muted autumn palette…gold, tan, teal, brick, amber, and some low volumes…

we wanted to whip up something for autumn…and with the shop hop in full swing we wanted a quick little project that could go on the floor. so mom, inspired by our Bloom pillow, and the look of cutter quilt pillows (she nor i could NEVER cut up a quilt…we just can’t do it)…but the look of the old fabric all cozy and squishy. so to get the same sort of look we took our Flag Day Farm toweling in the golden tan and quilted it and then appliquéd on “autumn”. Then washed it up. It is so vintage looking… i just love the skinny letters. we have it kitted up with the toweling and fabrics here.

autumn porch pillow fits a king pillow insert. i’m already planning some autumn-inspired vignettes so after the shop hop we can slide right into September. (where did summer go?)

anyways…looks like we are nearing noon…so i’d best get some lights turned on.

happy sunday stitching!
