it has been quite awhile since we ordered in an aunt grace collection. i love all 30s, but the aunt grace collections by judie rothermel are near and dear. i’m a tiny print lover and aunt grace prints tend to be small to medium and so darn sweet! this collection is full of tiny little flowers, sweet little plaids and the prettiest vintage-y looking flower with brown lines…i had to put it at the top of the fat quarter bundles i cut. i just finished up my longest running english paper piecing project and am pretty sure the backing is going to be a scrappy mix of all my current favorite prints.

like i said earlier…i finished up my flower garden and am taking a mini break as i debate how exactly i want my Halloween Hexie project to look…so while i mull that over i came across a cross stitch project mom started and thought it was time to finish it up. with the hot days coming this weekend it’s a perfect stitch to work on. this is thistle house by Plum Street Samplers…stitched on Lori Holt 25ct Vintage Cloth…i love the bigger stitching. it is originally a little pocket with a strap but i’m thinking ours will be a pillow. This picture was taken yesterday and now everything has been finished except for her flower bouquet and the grass and flowers along the bottom. i’m thinking i’ll post about my progress over on instagram…cuz the grass at the bottom is super dense stitching, so it’s nice seeing the progression. we do have the pattern available and will be kitting it up with the vintage cloth, called for threads and a pillow backing. if you’d like to add the pattern to your library…you can find it here.
