good afternoon! we finally finished up our heart quilt…we’ve been wanting to make just the “perfect” heart quilt for a few years now. something sweet and pink…but not too pink so the hearts are special.
we’ve come up with the perfect quilt…Heart Cakes…a mixture of sweet hearts and rail fence blocks in a sugary sweet palette of rosewater, blush, mist, and cloud. The curated collection of Lovestruck that arrived before Christmas was PERFECT!
introducing…Heart Cakes…measuring 62 x 74 inches…it features hearts and rails…a lovely floral border and a candy sweet scrappy binding. it has everything your Valentine’s Day display needs. Just add a bowl of chocolates and you are good to go.

Abloom…by Renee Nannamen is arriving wednesday. This collection is soft and subtle and sweet. It has a washed-out feel…so light and airy for the coming spring/summer season. We’ll talk more on that once it arrives and i can take some pictures.

Easter is on its way (Valentine’s Day and Ash Wednesday are in 9 days). Then we’ll be switching over some quilts…pulling out some eggs and hopefully we’ll have a pastel project or 2 ready for the new season.
