good morning! i’m working from home today…i’m planning to put together our quilt minnesota 2024 booklet, Minnesota Splendor. we’re planning to take pictures in the next couple days…so the tentative plan is to release the projects and kit info on Saturday. plus we have to make room for our QM24 display (it is going back on the porch) so we need to do some mini-rearranges to get everything where it belongs.

we’ve been hoarding scraps…oh, so many scraps…so we are continuing the scrap bags. new ones are added all the time…so be sure to pop back often to take a look.

a chest of drawers has been added into the shoppe…we do love our old furniture. we’ve been wanting to go through our piles and piles of vintage lace, trims, fringe, doilies, embroidery, ribbon, rick rack, threads, buttons, but didn’t know where it would go. so we’ve been collecting and stowing it away in a ginormous rope tote, flamingo bag and a couple drawers…now to just start going through it.

we have some new projects that we cannot wait to get to once we wrap up the quilt minnesota project booklet.

we’ve got a plate full as we get ready for the shop hop…but i did have a chance to finish up a quilt for mom. she pieced this lovely flower garden using Sanctuary by 3 Sisters, Rachel Ashwell Simply Shabby Chic sheets, Bella Bleach, and pink linen. when trying to decide what to get her for her birthday…i suggested that i could quilt and bind her flower garden and she said that would be wonderful. so i did that yesterday…i took a few pictures today…

what is interesting…is the layout she picked is the layout i did for my 30s flower garden that i started 20ish years ago and finished up last summer…(it does still need to be quilted, of course). it was very satisfying to get something off of the personal to-be-quilted pile.

okay…now back to the Minnesota Splendor booklet…

happy stitching!
