good afternoon!
we are in the midst of finishing up some projects…Autumn Romance is finished up and lovely (pics below) otherwise we’ll be back with Hard Candy featuring cozy Christmas Flannel, our new project, Vanilla Bean, featuring Pebbles and 3 Sisters Vintage Linens along with a few new Cross Stitch projects that have been framed. we hope these will ALL be up in the shoppe over the next few days.
we are planning our Christmas rearrange for our Hometown Holiday Road Trip (Nov 7, 8, and 9)…hopefully you are able to join us along with DeAnn’s (Litchfield), Quilting Grounds (Norwood Young America), Cabby’s (Gibbon), Sew Quilty (Arlington), and Thimble Box and Sewing Seeds (both are in New Ulm). Sew Quilty is a new addition since Val (Spinning Spools) decided to retire last year. this is the 9th Hometown Holiday Road Trip and we are still collecting Food Shelf donations, offering complimentary Holiday-themed patterns, an Old World Christmas ornament upon completion, and your completed trip ticket is put in the drawing for 1 of 7 prizes…this year we have Peppermint Candy Dishes (which are so darn cute!!)

i thought i better pop in and introduce a Christmas collection that is a little bit civil war…introducing, Tree Farm by Pam Buda. this collection features a handful of colors and prints…beige, red and green, black and brown in prints called garland, string of lights and tweed. a collection that could easily mix in with your civil war or use it alone for a truly vintage-inspired Christmas project. mom is making our Hometown Holiday Road Trip complimentary pattern out of this collection. Can’t wait to see it come together.
if you are looking for a primitive-style civil war holiday collection…shop Tree Farm by Pam Buda here.

Autumn Romance…i debated introducing it on monday, but thought it would be a wonderful reminder that it is still autumn. Christmas gets pushed so soon that autumn/Halloween/Thanksgiving don’t get their time to shine.
Autumn Romance…a combination of Cottage Farmhouse Fusion and classic squares and rectangles makes it perfect for the annual “You’ve Got Mail” movie night, the haunted hayride, and last bonfire of the year. Couch ready at 60 x 75 inches…we’ve kitted it up with a combination of Cottage Farmhouse Fusion and Fableism Camp Gingham. –below we’ve paired it with a dough bowl fill with handmade Heirloom Pumpkins (Heirloom Pumpkins bundle can be found here.)

(a quick shout-out to Tina…she pieced and quilted it up for us…thank you!!)
now…i’m getting back to my vintage blue hexagon flower garden…i’ve found a solid blue (tilda’s light blue) that is a close enough match to finish up the half flowers…and i’m thinking a triple feature tonight…Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, and Coraline.
happy October weekend stitching!
