we don’t have a new collection, curated bundle, or kitted project to introduce today…instead we would like to welcome my sister, Tina, into the fold.
as many of you know…tina took over the longarm portion of the shop last fall and has not looked back…well, starting monday…she will be working in the shoppe alongside mom and i on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and occasionally Thursday-Saturday. Otherwise she’ll be working from home longarm quilting and stitching up new samples.
Tina’s expertise and mad stitching (and knitting) skills, history within the sewing/craft industry, eye for color and design, and her unique take on style made her an obvious choice…we are SO excited to have her join us.
her versatility makes her a perfect fit in all areas of the shoppe…curating bundles, piecing quilts, longarm quilting, display set up, customer service and behind the scenes working online, doing paperwork and organization. we are looking forward to a wider variety of bundles, more kits and projects, fresh ideas, and a 3rd person to help move around fabric, package up orders, and help quilters pick out that perfect print.
if you are dropping off a quilt and wish to speak with Tina regarding the quilt itself, the quilting design, or thread color…pop in while she’s working or give us a call and talk with her directly. she is in the process of putting together a book of designs and has a running list of new designs she is planning to add as she gets settled in to her new schedule.
we are thrilled she has agreed to leave the corporate world and move back into the retail sector. we can hardly wait to see what the future holds for Sweetwater as we turn 21 in June…Tina will be right alongside us celebrating!
happy stitching!
