good morning! after a crazy monday and tuesday…it is nice to be able to sit and work on the blog a little.
how can it already be the middle of may…which means…Quilt Minnesota & tilda…both are expected before the end of the month. i got a notification yesterday that Quilt Minnesota is headed out the door by the end of the week. we are SO excited for it to arrive, so we can set to work on some projects. meanwhile…
tina has finished up a project…a reworking of our Spookyville…this new version is called
Garden Gala
inspired by the Garden Picnic collection with its palette of cotton candy pink, washed black, and minty green. we have fallen hard for the light pink background…a welcomed change from our classic bleach white. The subtle pink softens the black, the quilt becomes more interesting…a welcomed change up from how we normally do things. we also made it SUPER-scap-happy! it showcases the entire collection…

April Cornell designed the April’s Garden collection to celebrate 50 years…and when it arrived we knew it needed to be made into something special. this quilt block was featured in our Lisbon quilt (which used Portugal by April Cornell) many moons ago. we thought it was fitting to revisit an old project plus the School Girl’s Puzzle is one of our favorite blocks of all time!! we’ve kitted up Serendipity using Bella Bleach and the April’s Garden collection. we have it kitted up here.

and of course…we are each currently working on projects…mom’s quilt features both the Meadow Greens and Lavender Fields Vintage Linens collections. Tina is working on a new project with Berry Market. I am still working on a new Jelly Garden using Chic Escape by Tilda.

there is some Christmas fabric due by the end of the month along with some new civil war.
+Needlework Necessities has arrived but we were short 1 bolt…still waiting on it to arrive so we can put together some HY and FQ bundles.
