good afternoon!
i’ve been trying to find a moment to pop in to update you on what’s going on…but it has been pretty crazy between the rain and the goodies that have been arriving.
today i wanted to drop in a little reminder…we will be closed on the 4th of july. otherwise, normal hours the rest of the week.
4th of july…quilts, parades, and picnics. we always celebrated with a picnic and swimming at Lake Charlotte. it has been many years since we had those picnics…but patriotic quilts always bring back those fond memories.
i love americana…i’ve only every made 1 americana quilt (maybe i’ll talk myself into a patriotic flower garden at some point) but for now…i’ll tame that by pulling together our patriotic/americana lineup. we have pieced quilts, a panel project, and a preprinted lovely…along with custom bundles and factory precuts.
sparklers…features a combination of soft and sweet prints in shades of pink, linen, blue, and soft red. the small bits of color really give this quilt a vintage feel…lots of white background so the prints seem to float. kitted up here.
flower market…uses the lovely Hollyhocks and Roses collection…not strictly americana, but it checks all the boxes. shades of pink and red, dark and light blue, linen white and a bit of greige. kitted up and ready to go for july 4th stitching! you can check it out here.
patriotic chintz…a low volume lovely that uses Minick and Simpson prints…they have retired, so it is rekitted with coordinating prints along with some classic Minick and Simpson low volume shirtings. kits can be found here.
New York Beauty preprinted…we have this kitted up with backing and binding…super easy—just piece the backing and set to work quilting. kitted up here.
Parade Day…a sweet little wallhanging that features the Old Glory panel and delightful stars. kits can be found here.
skinny flag pillow…if you are not in the mood for a big quilt…this pillow may be just the thing. fun and quick…simple strip piecing and a little bit of wool appliqué and this beauty is ready for setting on the hallway bench, fireplace mantle, or porch swing. available kitted up here.
