good evening! hopefully you are enjoying the september…it is hard to believe that we are nearing mid-month already…how did that happen? we are starting to see some pops of autumn color here and there on our commute…bouquets of fall lovelies at the farmers market and roadside stands full of pumpkins. and speaking of pumpkins…how much do we LOVE the newish pumpkin colors that are interspersed with the classic orange. especially the knobby pumpkins and the teal, creamy white, peachy pink. all pastel autumn vibes…that of course fit right in around here.
i thought i better share a new favorite project…James Street Blues. this new project is a reimagining of our picnic in the park quilt. more blocks, more prints and less colors…and it’s made with blues. we chose Sewing Bird by Laundry Basket Quilts and instead of a solid background we thought we would shake things up and use 3 sewing prints from the collection. this quilt has definite subtle autumn vibes…especially with the cream and blue pumpkins. James Street Blues measures approximately 81 x 81 inches. you can find the kit instore or online here.
