a busy autumn

good afternoon!

we have a busy autumn ahead of us…we are pleased to announce that we’ve purchased a building…just down the street from our current location. the new space, Sweetwater’s forever home, will be located at 204 West James Street (across from the post office). it does need a little bit of demo-ing to remove some walls, then lots of paint, a few chandeliers, shelving for ALL. THE. FABRIC.

we are *planning* to remain open throughout the move –please keep in mind that we are tentatively moving in mid-late November if all the guys keep on task–. we’ll keep you updated as to specific dates that we’ll be moving because it will be pretty chaotic…i’m just hoping we are over there before the snow falls.

anyways…as for our fabric and notions orders…we are still getting 1-2 collections a week and hope to only pause orders for a couple days while we do the serious moving. we’ll keep you in the loop as to what’s going on.

in between all the prep for the demoing…we’ve been working on some projects. i have just finished up my a very sweet christmas flower garden…now for the quilting, binding, and crochet edge.

tina has found a little bit of time to finish up her most recent project…introducing…

Peppercorn Hollow…a delightful combination of Cheddar and Coal III and moda natural. classically autumn without being too Halloween-ish (i LOVE halloween, but sometimes i just want something that will work from september 1st to thanksgiving).

loving those little shooflys!

we have it kitted up…here.

**i have fallen behind on fabric introductions…we have gotten in so many lovely collections including: Dwell, Sunbonnet, Lighthouse, Wildflower Cottage, To the Moon, and Daybreak. it has been busy around here…

happy stitching!
