good afternoon! we have had a most exciting couple of weeks. we’ve been planning the details of our Summer Soirée for a couple of months, so we’ve been going through the loads and loads of scraps, pulling our yardage, and squirreling away pieces that are earmarked for kits and future projects. we wanted the back work space to be usable for our anniversary party…it seemed appropriate that everyone would be able to see the entire shoppe. so instead of working on new projects we’ve been sorting. which overall went very well…since this is our forever home, we don’t want loads of things just hanging around.
well…last week was a little crazy…Sunday, May 31st started with a little hydroplaning that turned into a little off roading and curtain air bags and a totaled vehicle. tina and i are okay, but she now has to go car shopping. the day ended with a surprise party for my other sister, Mel, who turned 40 on the 3rd. then monday and tuesday were spent getting the shop organized for the Summer Soirée…which celebrated both 22 years AND our forever home. it was an absolute blast! thank you SO much for stopping in…lots of good fabric found new homes which was fantastic since we have more fabric on the way! now this week is going to be spent getting ready for our Finding Freedom Road Trip that starts on the 15th. we have new fabric arriving, so displays need to be pulled together and a complimentary pattern needs to be stitched up, plus i finished up my Virginia Snowball and that needs to get quilted, bound, and washed. nothing like a deadline to get all our ducks in a row.

anyways…here is a quick rundown of a few new collections that are available right now…
Swatch Book…a civil war collection of blues and shirtings. it always comes with a preprinted churn dash…you can find the entire collection here.
Old Village Greens…a collection of classic civil war greens with a few beige backgrounds are perfect if you are in need of a little green to jazz up your civil war stash. they can be found here.
Layla…a pastel dream…we whipped up a quick throw using the hexagon preprinted panel, but the prints in this grouping are so delightful! the dots are scrumptious! this should be online later this week.
2 new christmas collections will be hitting the floor later this week.
2 new Halloween collections arrived yesterday. these are smaller collection of under 14 prints each so perfect for bags, throws, wall hangings, or grab enough for a bed quilt!
looks like it is time to get back to kit cutting.
